TYPO Berlin 98 - 3. FontShop-Conference

The House of World Cultures will be spotlighted by design and advertising in mid March. The list of speakers is high calibre: apart from graphics and design gurus Neville Brody (London) and David Carson (New York), multimedia designer Max Kisman (San Francisco) and Wired art director Thomas Schneider have agreed to come. Top heads in advertising and trend research will be casting a critical eye over what's happening in advertising: Thomas Rempen, Peter Wippermann and Axel Kolaschnik.

The accompanying programme (admission free) presented by the German Type Directors Club and the poster museum in Essen will be exhibiting award-winning advertising posters. More speeches for designers, anyone interested in multimedia and the internet will be presented in the foyer and café along with books, gifts and design objects. And there's more: during the conference, French collector Jean Marie Boursicot's latest ad film »La nuit des publivores« (ad eaters night) will be celebrating its première. And to round all this off, TYPOnight will be a huge happening in Friedrichstrasse. »ad eaters night« and TypoNight will be open to all advertising fans.
