- 1957 - 1959 Training as a type setter in Stuttgart, Germany.
- 1959 - 191 Training as a typographer under Walter Zerbe in Bern, Switzerland, thereafter work as a typographer.
- 1964 Founding of layout - setting company Stulle.
- Development of special type listings to serve as an information for graphic designer, i. e. »The Stulle Book for Comparing, Recognizing and Finding of Typefaces.««
- Since 1985 lecturer at the Academy in Stuttgart.
- 1995 Honorary professor titel by the county of Baden - Württemberg.
