Hans Peter Willberg
, born in 1930.
Studies at the Werkkunstschule Nürnberg (applied graphics) and at the Kunstakademie Stuttgart (typefaces and typography, illustration).
From 1957 till 1968 freelance book illustrater.
From 1968 till 1975 managing director of the Bookart Foundation (doing PR-work for bookillustration as well as the competition of the Most Beautifull German Books). Journalistic publications.
From 1975 till 1996 professor for book illustration at the polytechnic in Mainz. Teacher of succesfull book typographers, book illustrations for many publishers.
Author of severalteaching books and numerous publications. Lives as freelance book illustrator in Taunus (near Frankfurt/Main).
