Teal Triggs is Course Leader for the School of
Graphic Design atRavensbourne College of Design
and Communication, London, and a designhistorian
with specific interest in graphic design history/theory
andeducation. Her writings have appeared in numerous
books and designpublications including EYE, ZED and
Circular. She is also editor of a newcollection of
essays on visual communication entitled,
Communicating Design.
In January 1995 she co-founded with Liz McQuiston, the Women's Design Research Unit (WD+RU) - established to recognize and encourage women workinginternationally in the field of visual design including graphic design, typography and multimedia. All members (which also include Sian Cook and Karen Mahony) are engaged in design/research/publishing practices in their own right, coming together under the banner of WD+RU for specfic projects. WD+RU has undertaken numerous projects including the "conceptual typeface" for FUSE, Pussy Galore. | |
