Guter Versuch! Was ist ein Jahr später daraus geworden?

Das Problem der Einbettung wird durch neue Standards wie EPUB immanebt,
weil ebendieser OTF als Fontformat vorschreibt, welches wiederum ein allgemein nutzbares Format ist. Man muss in diesem Punkt wissen was man will, sonst verbaut man als Schriftdesigner/-schneider in der digitalen Welt zuviel, da viele deutsche Verlage auf EPUB setzen. Was Formatwandlungen angeht könnte ich mir folgenden Passus vorstellen,
4.1. : Formatwandlungen
Diese Lizenz schliesst Formatwandlungen zwecks Herstellung der Interoperabilität NICHT mit ein. Sollte die SCHRIFT in einem anderen als dem dagebotenen Format benötigt werden, wenden sie sich bitte an den Schriftschneider (Autor).

Soweit zu diesem Zeitpunkt.

Hi, and thank you for this kind coverage of my approach to the Passion theme!
Regarding how to do it properly, I’m pleased to summarize that
my points near the end of my talk regarding how to do it also included:
- joining a professional society that has a code of ethics that establishes minimum standards regarding professional practise
- to contribute/watch out for the upcoming Icograda measurable standards for sustainable graphic design practise
- to read my book Do Good Design, which gets into the details of sustainable design practise
- to explore the design sustainabilit links at the book’s web presence http://www.dogoodbook.com
- to only do what is in alignment with your own principles …
… I really think if we all simply did just that last one, then over half the problem would be solved… we have to educate ourselves and our clients, then do what is right.

Perhaps I can get more deeply into the “how” at next year’s TYPOBerlin. See you there!
